Michigan football will be landing the commitment of four-star safety Kainoa Winston, a top-100 recruit in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings in the near future.

At least if we are to believe the crystal ball projections. Winston was projected to Michigan football earlier this week by some team recruiting experts, before Steve Wiltfong put in his expert prediction on Wednesday.

Sam Webb of the Michigan Insider and Brian Dohn, who covers the Northeast, put in the first crystal ball projections for Winston, who is 5-foot-10, 185 pounds out of Washington, D.C. He is ranked 88th overall and No. 9 among safeties in the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore just posted on X, "#GoBlue" with the eyeball emoji. Secondary coach Lamar Morgan also had a post that suggested some good news for the Wolverines, so Winston might be a silent commitment at this point and good news could be coming soon.

The last time the Michigan football head coach posted something like that on X, the commitment of Jaylen Williams came two days later, so we'll see if Winston commits relatively soon. It wouldn't be surprising at all.

Michigan Wolverines to play home-and-home against TCU

We found out that Michigan basketball will take on Wake Forest next season in a non-conference game. The Wolverines will also play TCU in a home-and-home series that will start next season. That's the perfect timing according to Frankie Collins, the former Michigan point guard who transferred to Arizona State before TCU, because he'll make a return trip to Ann Arbor Nov 15th.

The Michigan Wolverines faced Collins once before but lost the game to Arizona State. We'll see what happens at Crisler Center.

In other Michigan basketball news, the Michigan Wolverines are being "considered" by Memphis transfer Jayhlon Young. The 6-foot-2 guard started 12 games for UCF two years ago and played in 27 for Memphis last season. In 2022-23, he averaged 4.5 points on 35 percent shooting from 3-point range and could be a solid veteran on the bench to add even more depth for one season.
