Michigan football just concluded another huge weekend for recruiting, and it appears that things went very well for the Wolverines. On Sunday, Steve Wiltfong, a very respected top reporter in the recruiting world placed a prediction on ON3 for Michigan football to land elite defensive line prospect Nate Marshall.

This is a big one. There were doubts about how the Wolverines would do recruiting the defensive line considering how long it took them to hire and retain a coach with Greg Scruggs being terminated shortly after his hire was made official.

Marshall, who is out of Oak Park, Illinois, has been high on Michigan football for a while. He was a top target under the previous coaching staff and maintained a high target status under the new staff. Marshall visited Ann Arbor for the Spring Game and was given the VIP treatment, and apparently, things went very well.

Michigan football is finally building some recruiting momentum

There were a number of top prospects and commits on campus over the weekend, including some 2024 signees and 2025 recruits such as Bobby Kanka and Avery Gach. The Wolverines appear to be picking up some steam on the recruiting trail after a lackluster first few months of the year.

Marshall's recruitment is definitely one to keep an eye on. Other programs involved in his recruitment include Alabama, Miami, and Notre Dame. Aka NIL powerhouses. Wiltfong putting in a prediction signals that the Wolverines sit in a great position as of now. If Marshall holds off on making a commitment for a while, things may fade away from the Wolverines, but for now there is plenty of excitement in Ann Arbor.

Keep an eye out for any updates surrounding Marshall. The Wolverines will have to keep the full court press on to maintain this lead. Go Blue!
