It's not a big secret that Michigan football is more invested in running the ball than throwing it, which has led to the wide receivers not having eye-popping numbers in the passing game.
Guys like Cornelius Johnson who was turning heads at the Shrine Game, and Roman Wilson have been productive but they haven't had a thousand-yard season and generally, they don't have quite as many downfield opportunities as one might get playing for Ohio State for instance.
However, Roman Wilson made play after play this season for Michigan football. Not only did he have some spectacular receptions, like the two touchdown catches he had against Nebraska, as well as the one against Ohio State, but he delivered time and time again.
When it was third down or when Michigan football needed a play, Wilson and Johnson for that matter, usually found a way to make it. In the Rose Bowl, he made a leaping catch on the game-tying drive as well as catching the game-winning touchdown. He also had an explosive play in the national championship game. Here are some of his highlights from Monday.

Wilson might not be Marvin Harrison Jr. but he runs at least a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash and showed his ability on Tuesday in Mobile, Alabama at the Senior. Wilson caught 48 passes this season for 748 yards and 12 touchdown receptions this past season too.

Wilson started to draw comparisons to Jayden Reed, the former Michigan State wideout who was drafted by the Packers last season in the second round and had a dynamic rookie season. Wilson could even run in the 4.3 range at the NFL combine and if he keeps performing like that the rest of the week, my guess is there's a good chance he winds up going sometime on day or early day three.
