Michigan football picks Big Ten media day representatives
You know the Michigan football season is getting close when Big Ten Media Days are here and while they are still a couple of weeks away in Indianapolis, Michigan football announced who will be in attendance on July 25th when the Wolverines will speak.
Even though there are some superstars in the junior class such as Will Johnson, the top-ranked player in the EA Sports College Football 25 video game, or Mason Graham and Colston Loveland, who are also highly ranked in the game, Sherrone Moore stuck with a trio of seniors to accompany him.
It's the kind of move Jim Harbaugh would make and I have to say that I like it. Donovan Edwards is one of the true leaders of this team. Not that the other players aren't great leaders. Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant -- Will Johnson too. They could all be team captains, but there was a reason J.J. McCarthy didn't get the nod as a team captain and it had nothing to do with his leadership.
This is a similar kind of thing. Edwards will be one of the players going along with Makari Paige and Max Bredeson. That trio represents Michigan football well. Paige doesn't get talked about that much but he's one of the better players on the defense and is another future draft pick.
Bredeson has also played a key role as a blocker and on special teams for U-M. He's sort of like an H-back for Mchigan football and I wouldn't be shocked to see him catch more passes this season.
Regardless, all three players are deserving and I can't wait to hear what they have to say at Big Ten Media Days about the 2024 season.
