If you need a streak ended, call Michigan football legend Aidan Hutchinson.

The man isn't just a one-man wrecking crew when it comes to sacking opposing quarterbacks, which, oh, by the way, Hutchinson has three sacks in the first two rounds of the NFL playoffs. He had one and some key pressures Sunday in the 31-23 win over the Tampa Bay Bucs, a win that has Detroit in the NFC championship game.

Hutchinson, who was integral in Michigan football getting over the hump against Ohio State in 2021, when he had two sacks, was selected No. 2 overall by Detroit in the 2022 NFL draft. A bunch of rival fans have criticized the pick. Some have been ignorant enough to call Aidan Hutchinson a bust, but you'll have to forgive Michigan State fans.

Not only has Hutchinson not been a bust, but he's also been a vital part of the Lions' rebuild. Last season, the Lions finished with a winning record as Hutchinson had three interceptions including one off of Aaron Rodgers. He helped Detroit sweep Green Bay and even ended the Packers season with a Week 18 win at Lambeau Field.

It was a moment of progress and the Lions have made more this season. The final goal is winning a championship and make no mistake, they seem capable of doing that. With Aidan Hutchinson on your team, anything seems possible.

Detroit will have its work cut out for it. But what the Lions have achieved already is incredible. They have won more playoff games in the past eight days than they did in the previous 62. There are tons of people to thank and many more who have sacrificed.

But as a Michigan football fan, who is also a fan of the Lions, as many of you are, it's freaking sweet to watch Hutchinson help spearhead the deepest playoff run for the Lions in 33 years. Will they reach the Super Bowl? We'll find out next week, but I wouldn't bet against Aidan Hutchinson, or the Detroit Lions.
