Michigan football is hosting some important recruits for official visits this weekend, but there is some news regarding another 2025 target, one who will visit Ann Arbor next weekend.

The player is four-star offensive lineman Hardy Watts. He's ranked as one of the top interior offensive linemen in the 2025 class. The Brookline, Massachusetts prospect is 6-foot-6, 290 pounds, and is ranked No. 217 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

The Wolverines have some key offensive linemen visiting this weekend such as five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola. But Watts is another player that Michigan football is really high on and the interior offensive lineman included Michigan in his top three on Saturday as he narrowed his recruitment down to Clemson, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

Michigan football still has time with Hardy Watts

Watts canceled visits to Boston College and Duke. He visited Clemson in early June and made his way to Madison for his official visit with the Badgers last weekend. The good news for the Wolverines is that Watts will be on campus for an officiai visit on June 21st. That's setting up to be a huge weekend for Michigan football.

The bad news is that Clemson picked up a crystal ball projection for Hardy Watts earlier this week. Yet, it came from a Clemson insider. There haven't been any national experts like Steve Wiltfong of Chad Simmons putting in predictions yet. So it feels like there is time for the Wolverines to turn this around.

Watts has Michigan in the top three and hopefully, next weekend, the Wolverines can make a strong case for being No. 1 in the race for Watts' commitment. Watts told Ryan O'Bleness of Rivals "I am looking for a winning culture and mentality, but also a family culture."

That sure sounds like Michigan football to me.
