Michigan football fans have been waiting for some of the new hires made by Sherrone Moore to be announced by the program. While we are still waiting for some official announcements, most of the Michigan Wolverines new coaches are now showing up in the school directory.

Wink Martindale, the Michigan football defensive coordinator was announced earlier this week, along with the reported hire of his right-hand man in the NFL, Kevin Wilkins who worked under Martindale for the Ravens and Giants.

The Michigan Wolverines' new defensive line coach, Greg Scruggs, who is coming over from Wisconsin, was announced this week, along with the hire of linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary. Lamar Morgan, who is expected as the secondary coach and either co-defensive coordinator or defensive passing game coordinator, should also be announced this week.

Laila Phelia earns First-Team All-Big Ten, plus women's bracketology

The Michigan Wolverines women's basketball team is still on the NCAA tournament bubble as the Big Ten conference tournament opens on Wednesday. But the Michigan women's basketball team got positive news as point guard Laila Phelia was named First-Team All-Big Ten this week. The junior averaged 16 points per game this season along with 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

Michigan will play in the second round of the Big Ten women's tournament on Thursday. The Michigan Wolverines are among the last four teams projected to get a first-round bye in the women's NCAA tournament, meaning they are among the last eight teams in the field.
