Michigan has played a lot of schools in it's long history, but they have also not played quite a few schools.

Michigan football vs. Conference USA

There are currently eight Conference USA teams that have never faced Michigan and based on proximity, they may not be on the schedule for awhile.

Liberty Flames: Liberty is simply a young school founded in 1971, and only started playing football in 1973. They joined the FBS in 2018 and this season was their first in Conference USA. I'm sue with being located in Virginia these teams will meet soon enough.

New Mexico State Aggies: New Mexico has been playing football since 1894 and joined the FBS in 1931. They have jumped around conference quite a bit, but based on the distance of the school, I don't imagine these schools will play each other anytime soon.

Jacksonville State Gamecocks: Jacksonville State has been playing football since 1904, but the are a brand new team to FBS with their first season in 2023. Give it time and we may see these teams squaring off.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers: The Hilltoppers have been on the football field since 1908 and joined the FBS 2007. They are still a fairly young school in the FBS so these teams just probably haven't gotten on each other's schedules yet, but don't be surprised when it happens.

Lousiana Tech Bulldogs: The Bulldogs have been playing football till 1901 but it wasn't until 73 years later in 1974 that they joined the FBS. Based on how far away these schools are though, they probably won'e meet anytime soon.

Sam Houston Bearkats: Sam Houston played their first football game in 1912 but joined the FBS just this past season. Based on distance it's probably unlikely these teams will meet anytime soon, but being a new team in the FBS, anything is possible.

UTEP Miners: The Miners started playing football in 1914 and joined the FBS in 1935 jumping around smaller conferences. These two schools are very far apart and probably aren't planning to play each other in the near future.

Florida International Panthers: FIU has a young football program starting in just 2002 and joined the FBS in 2004. Again, based on proximity, these schools probably don't have any plans to meet in the furutre.
