Ryan Day still can't get over the fact that Jim Harbaugh, legendary former Michigan football head coach, said about Day, "Some people who are born on third base think they hit a triple."
What's interesting is that Harbaugh used that line before the Michigan Wolverines beat Ohio State 42-27 to end the Buckeyes reign of terror. And since, Michigan football has caused its own reign of terror, going 3-0 against Ohio State and winning by an average of 14 points.
The past three seasons have all been failures for Ryan Day, who hasn't won a meaningful game from an Ohio State perspective since 2020. Yet, when he hired a coach to replace Tony Alford, who left Ohio State for Michigan football, he took an apparent shot at Jim Harbaugh for growing up in a family of coaches.
Ryan Day on new RB coach Carlos Locklyn:

“Like some of us in this profession, he came up not in a football family but grew up and kind of had to figure it out on his own."
Appears Day is taking a subtle shot at Jim Harbaugh, who certainly grew up in a football family. pic.twitter.com/YAYElMUEUm
What's funny is that Day shows again how thin skinned he is. You could see it with the unhinged rant about Lou Holtz but this is worse. Did you really spend the last three years working on that comeback Ryan? Also, as some Michigan football fans pointed out, when will you figure it out?
Here are some of the best social media reactions as Michigan football fans got another good laugh at Day's expense.
Michigan fans mock Ryan Day on social media
My man never got to talk the smack he had planned heading into the last two editions of The Game, so he decided to unleash it once Ohio State filled a coaching vacancy … that was caused by a coach leaving his staff for Michigan. https://t.co/b7hDJPG02Y

Ryan Day running his mouth about the Harbaugh family is just sad.

Middle class, blue-collar Jack Harbaugh raised his kids right.

1-3 against Michigan.
This is a sorry individual. https://t.co/BjSDrWjzTv

Michigan Wolverines set to hire former Oklahoma State head coach
We'll have some more thoughts on the move becomes official, but Dusty May has reportedly landed former Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton as an assistant for the Michigan Wolverines.
Coaching scuttle: Former Oklahoma State coach Mike Boynton Jr. is soon expected to join Dusty May's staff at Michigan as an assistant, sources tell @CBSSports. Boynton has other options at the high-major level, but May has put a high priority on Boynton in Year 1 in Ann Arbor.
— Matt Norlander (@MattNorlander) April 3, 2024
Boynton is a former Brad Underwood assistant who is elite on the recruiting trail. He got Cade Cunningham to Oklahoma State and won 119 games in six seasons with the Cowboys. Boynton also had four top-50 defenses, so Dusty May and Michigan basketball got a dynamic recruiter with power-5 head coaching experience who can essentially be the DC. I'd call that a home run.
Johnell Davis enters the transfer portal
Vlad Goldin, a former FAU standout entered the transfer portal and declared for the NBA draft on Monday. Johnell Davis, the American Player of the Year, entered the portal on Tuesday, also from FAU.
Davis averaged 18 points, six rebounds, and three assists last season while shooting 41 percent from 3-point range. He's 6-foot-4 and a solid defender too. His addition plus Goldin or Danny Wolf of Yale would be a great start to the Michigan basketball rebuild.
Dusty May has been busy and it seems like he's on the verge on attracting some talent to Ann Arbor to get this thing headed back in the right direction.
