2. A heavier workload for Donovan Edwards

I would be lying if I said I was the only Michigan football fan who wanted to see this. Edwards was held in check by Fresno besides the easy touchdown score to open the scoring. Simply put, Edwards has got to touch the ball more than 20 times every game. Fresno's game plan worked well for Edwards, but not for Kalel Mullings.

When Kalel's number got called on Saturday he delivered. All the while Edwards was not having a day that many expected he would against an inferior opponent, but can Mullings do it consistently when Edwards is being underused or unimpactful? I mean if Justin Marshall can get it done for Colorado State, then both should be able to find holes to run through against the Texas run defense.

For the record Marshall averaged four yards per crack. Mullings had six yards per carry and Alex Orji was a notch above him on less attempts. Plus, Tony Alford spoke to the media on Wednesday and said he wants to get Ben Hall and Jordan Marshall more involved.

The last time Michigan football was a home underdog, their lead back went off for five touchdowns. Edwards thrives in these types of games just like Hassan Haskins did that day.
