As we embark on Monday's finale it's easy to imagine that Michigan basketball was there not long ago and envisions themselves on getting back there once again. Dusty May is the man to lead the charge, but he's not the only new character in the Big Ten conference. There are three other new hires that will call the Big Ten home in the enhanced 18 team version of it in the winter of 2024. How would they rank as they enter the conference, here's how most would probably rank them.

4. Jake Diebler Ohio State

Ohio State's new man beat a final four team to gain his landmark win and another tourney team in Nebraska. He rejuvenated the program in a short period of time by earning the trust of the athletic director. They came within an eyelash of beating Illinois in the Big Ten tournament and have already added Meechie Johnson through the transfer portal. This is not a knock on him to put him last on the list because he's at OSU, but Diebler has the shortest resume of the four coaches to work with.

3. Danny Sprinkle Washington

Sprinkle has been to three straight NCAA tournaments with two different schools. He's won 25 or more in each season during that span. The next logical leap for him would have been to join the Pac-12. Utah State big man Great Osobar just entered the portal and Washington will be his likely landing spot. He followed Sprinkle from Montana State to Utah State in the first place.
