Buckle up, Michigan basketball fans, it's Gameday. It's sad because we used to look forward to these days. Now, the only question is whether the Ohio State game will be another rock bottom for the Wolverines?

It's a sad commentary about the current state of the Michigan basketball program, which got another black eye as long-time strength coach Jon Sanderson resigned his position this week. Sanderson was essential in developing all the NBA draft picks over the years and will be highly sought by other teams.

Allowing him to leave feels like a mistake. It also seems like a mistake not to fire Juwan Howard for violating his zero-tolerance policy after he had to be "restrained" from fighting Sanderson by players during the incident. It's likely a lack of direct evidence. Regardless, many Michigan basketball fans want a new head coach, even though one insider says it's unlikely.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the Ohio State game feels like an afterthought but there are the odds, a prediction, and how to watch.

Michigan basketball vs. Ohio State odds

The Wolverines are an 11.5-point underdog against Ohio State on Sunday according to DraftKings. The over/under is 143 and the money line is +525 for Michigan basketball and -750 for the Buckeyes.

Michigan vs. Ohio State prediction

The Buckeyes have won three of four games after making Jake Diebler the interim head coach. Ohio State beat Purdue and Nebraska, two expected NCAA tournament teams at home, as well as Michigan State on the road. Ohio State didn't even have Bruce Thorton on Thursday in the win over Nebraska. Jamsion Battle was unstoppable and I don't see how Michigan stops him.

Rutgers just beat Michigan by 30 points. I'd bet Ohio State with confidence in this game. The spread should be larger especially since the Wolverines have dropped their last seven road games by at least 20 points.
