Joel Klatt: Michigan football has 'more questions than answers'

It's been a struggle this season for Michigan football and Joel Klatt, the top analyst for Fox Sports College Football says the Wolverines aren't Big Ten title contenders.

Joel Klatt is one of the best color analysts in all of college football. That's why he's part of the A-team for Fox, which is also why he's called lots of Michigan football games over the past few seasons.

Klatt has been on the call for all of the wins over Ohio State and all of the Big Ten title game victories. He knows Michigan football as well as any other national personality.

Right now, after watching the Wolverines sneak out a 27-24 win over Minnesota, Klatt is sounding some alarm bells, saying on his Podcast Monday, "The Joel Klatt Show" that there are "more questions than answers" when it comes to Michigan fooball.

Joel Klatt says Michigan football isn't a Big Ten contender

“Michigan is just, like – every week I feel like there’s more questions than answers,” said Klatt via On3.com.

“Michigan is playing with very little margin right now. Because of that, in good conscience? Like, they’re not a threat in the Big Ten,” Klatt stated. “Not to Ohio State, or really even Penn State, or an Oregon team that has shown a really high ceiling when they beat. Like, that margin is going to have to change.”

Klatt was right to say that Michigan is plating with no margin for error. The Wolverines can't turn the ball over because they aren't good enough to overcome it. They can't fall behind by 10-14 points early in a game because if they have to depend on the pass, it's hard to see them being successful unless they just pull Alex Orji at that point.

Anything seems possible at this point. Klatt isn't off base saying this team can't win the Big Ten. But right now, it's a one-week season each week. The Wolverines are just trying to find a way to win and if they can do that on Saturday, they'll be 5-1 at the bye week and questions or not, I'll take it.
