I would hazard a guess that most Ohio State fans believe that the Buckeyes are going to trample Michigan football this season for a number of reasons.

We have heard all offseason about how Ohio State is the most talented college football team to ever walk the Earth (just listen to Urban Meyer). Ohio State fans have also clung to the idea that Michgan football only won the last three games by cheating.

I hope those folks touch some grass. But, I'm not going to pretend like I don't expect Ohio State to beat Michigan. There's a reason the Wolverines hadn't won in Columbus in 22 years before the 45-23 win in November of 2022.

It's a tough place for anyone to win. Michigan football will have a good team. I'm convinced of that. The schedule is tough though but I see them winning one of the two home games against Texas/Oregon.

The Wolverines could lose both. Michigan has a big question mark at quarterback. But the running game should be good again and the offensive line should be one of the best in the Big Ten.

We know the defense is going to be elite. Former Michigan football quarterback J.J. McCarthy also posted on Instagram with an important reminder: no current Buckeye has ever beaten Michigan.

That used to be an issue for Michigan. The mental hurdle was real and it's something the Buckeyes have to overcome. Michigan, for all its haters, has performed well under pressure. Ohio State hasn't really, at least in the most important games.

Maybe that will change this season. But for now, belief is one thing the Wolverines have on their side.
