Michigan football doesn't allow much media access to its spring practices. In fact, in terms of open media sessions, the spring game is it.

That's how Jim Harbaugh did things and it looks like it will stay that way under Sherrone Moore. Still, there are some highlight videos released by Michigan football on social media. I'm sure these are all guarded and they are careful what they release.

Still, it's fun to see some highlights, even if they only last for around 40 seconds. There are some things that we can learn. We watched the video a few times and here are some things that stood out.

Breaking down Michigan football spring highlights

Wide receiver has been talked about as a big concern this spring. Some Michigan football fans are even hoping that the Wolverines hit the transfer portal to add a wideout or two. I'd argue that quarterback is the more pressing need, but Alex Orji seems to be putting together the most good days according to highlights, interviews, and message board rumors.

This video made it tough to learn much about the quarterbacks. Most of the passes shown didn't show the quarterback. Orji and Jayden Denegal were shown throwing passes during drills. That was it. However, a couple of young wideouts made nice receptions. Kendrick Bell is one. Ronnie Bell's younger brother was recruited as a QB/athlete but made a nice catching wearing No. 12. Maybe he'll push for playing time this season along with Peyton O'Leary.

Fredrick Moore has also gotten buzz this spring and he was shown catching a touchdown during Michigan football spring practice. Semaj Morgan was also targeted but the ball appeared to be knocked away by Ja'Den McBurrows. Zeke Berry also got his hands on a ball thrown to Colston Loveland, who still appeared to bring it in.

You don't want to overreact to one highlight or anything, but it's the spring and since we don't get much information, we have to take what we can get.
