Michigan football destroyed Minnesota last season but this is a much different Wolverines squad and here are five things to watch ahead of Saturday's game.

Will Michigan feed the ball to Kalel Mullings?

This is the storyline I'm most interested in following this week. Sherrone Moore said that Mullings has earned the right to be RB1 but that Michigan football needs Mullings and Edwards. He's right of course, Edwards is still one of the top playmakers on this offense and showed it last week.

Michigan hasn't done a good enough job of getting the ball to Edwards in space. They threw one pass to him last week and haven't put him in the slot or out wide at all.

It is what it is at this point. But if Michigan continues to leave Mullings on the bench for long stretches -- he had just nine carries before the final drive last week -- it will pay the price.

Mullings is the best offensive weapon on this team and it's not close. Colston Loveland is a future first-round pick but he's injured and needs a quarterback. So lean into the identity and do so by feeding Mullings. The dude should get 20 carries every single game.

Think Hassan Haskins. That's who he is. Act accordingly.
