Blake Corum hits pay dirt

I don't see Blake Corum rushing for 100 yards, but he doesn't need to. Corum needs to be good on first down. He also needs to have success on short yardage and in the red zone, which he will. Michigan football will get its chance near the goal line and unlike in the Fiesta Bowl, the Wolverines will have Corum, who will score at least one touchdown on Monday.

Overall, I see Corum rushing for about 50-60 yards on around 15 carries. That might not sound great, but it would be enough to keep Alabama honest. The run game can't get stuffed like it did against Georgia two years ago in the Orange Bowl.

Michigan vs. Alabama prediction

I've been torn all week and I can see why the oddsmakers have this game as basically a toss-up. I want to go with Michigan football and I have a good feeling. However, I didn't pick the Wolverines before the Ohio State game in 2021 or 2022. They needed to prove it to me and I guess I won't believe Michigan wins a playoff game until it actually does it.

Prediction: Alabama 27, Michigan 24
