More about the future than the present

Michigan basketball had success when it steered clear of one-and-done players. Pippen isn't a one-and-done but he got a future in the NBA if the past few months are any indication. You want guys who develop into pros as sophomore and juniors.

Mike Boynton, one of the new assistant coaches for Michigan basketball, said in an interview that Dusty May wants to win now. Pippen can help with that. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see him play some extended minutes off the bench. He's probably not a starter next season but he could easily develop into one down the road.

Pippen is exactly what you want in a combo guard. He can shoot the 3-pointer well, he can attack the basket, and he's a facilitator too. It will be fun to see what he grows into under the direction of Dusty May.
