3. Nobody or an unknown name

There's always a possibility that Coach May is done accepting applicants to join his 2024-25 Michigan basketball roster. If that is the case then 11 or 12 scholarship athletes will be the number of players that suits up for the maize and blue next year. If not, then there could be one or two more on the way that we are still unaware of yet.

Some names who are still out there who could help Michigan fill those slots include Coleman Hawkins, Cam Christie, Chris Ledlum, DJ Wagner and the list goes on and on. As far as recruits go, Christian Anderson is on the block and the recruiting sites have not updated their crystal balls to where his next stop will be. They still have Michigan at 100% the destination.

Grad students can enter at any time. Admissions has been kind to coach May compared to Juwan Howard, at least to an extent. Last season Michigan's rotation was basically eight guys with two or three more seeing time in certain situations. This time around May has already built more depth and has a capable bench to depend on, so the transition shouldn't be as troublesome.
