3 Michigan football games I'm particularly looking forward to in 2024
3. Oregon
The Oregon Ducks come to Michigan in Week 10 of the 2024 season. Oregon seems like they have as much momentum behind their program as anyone right now. Dan Lanning is one of the best coaches in college football, they are recruiting well and have an established brand of what I would call "fun" football.
Dillon Gabriel transferred in and is poised to be one of the best quarterbacks in all of college football. In fact, I will most likely be placing a future Heisman winner bet on him. The speed of Oregon will present a huge challenge for the Michigan defense.
However, the physicality of Michigan is going to present just as big of a challenge for the Ducks. The game will most likely have major implications on the Big Ten race with it being so late in the season. I expect Michigan to punch Oregon in the mouth as much as they can throughout the game.
This also has the feel of a game where Michigan football will pull out a trick play or two at the perfect moment. It's no secret that Lanning likes to coach aggressively and I think Sherrone will recognize that and use it against him.
