The 2025 NFL draft will be another celebration of Michigan football, as the Wolverines are projected to have numerous first-round picks.
Things have been all over the place with mock drafts, especially with NFL free agency causing some changes among NFL rosters, which will alter draft strategies.
CBS Sports released its newest mock draft on Wednesday after the first couple of days of free-agent signings. There were some changes, but Michigan football has four players projected to go in the first round, starting with Mason Graham at No. 5 overall to the Jaguars.
I'd be stunned if Graham made it out of the top five. I've compared him to Warren Sapp. He could be similar to Aaron Donald. The dude is a freak and he's going to torment NFL offenses for years.
The next Michigan Wolverine of the board is projected to be Colston Loveland at No. 18 overall to Seattle. Loveland has been dealing with injuries but reuniting him with AJ Barner would be incredibe for Seattle and new quarterback Sam Darnold.
Loveland's stock has dropped a little but when healthy, he's easily a top-20 player and was dominant in his college football career, starting at the end of his freshman season.
Will Johnson is the one dropping in mock drafts, which probably has to do with his injury. Johnson didn't work out at the NFL combine and won't be taking part in Michigan's pro day either. He will hold a private workout for NFL teams a couple of weeks before the draft.
Johnson was projected 24th overall to Minnesota, which would reunite him with J.J. McCarthy. Kenneth Grant also wound up in the NFL North in this projection with the Detroit Lions at 28th overall.
