The Michigan Wolverines lost this cornerback a few years ago, but his newest team is rubbing salt in the wound that is still healing from his departure.

A little over three years ago, Cam Calhoun committed to, signed, and enrolled with Michigan. One year later, the former four-star prospect announced he was leaving the Wolverines for the transfer portal.

Calhoun then committed to the Utah Utes but re-entered the portal less than a year later, eventually ending up with the Alabama Crimson Tide ahead of the 2025 season.

For a third time, Calhoun has placed his name in the transfer portal, and this time around, his new team is a little more painful for the Wolverines to learn about.

Cam Calhoun commits to the Ohio State Buckeyes

Yes, you read the sub-header correctly, the former Wolverine has committed to none other than their most hated rivals, the Ohio State Buckeyes.

With two years of eligibility still remaining, Calhoun is heading to Columbus after playing in just six games for the Tide (and only 10 for the Utes).

Throughout his collegiate career, Calhoun has earned 27 total tackles (14 solo), 10 pass deflections, and one interception for 34 yards, with nearly all of those measurables coming during his time in Utah.

What might make his latest transfer destination hurt even more is the fact that he played a year for Michigan's new head coach, Kyle Whittingham, when he transferred to Utah in 2024. So, not only is he forsaking his allegiance to the Wolverines, but also his allegiance to his former coach.

No, Calhoun never recorded any in-game stats while at Michigan, but it still never feels good when a player who used to be loyal to your program ends up on a rival's roster, much less the roster of the Buckeyes.
