Ohio State needs to get its story straight because it sure seems like the things that matter most to this team. It has always seemed like beating Michigan was the biggest thing the Ohio State Buckeyes could do, especially because they haven't been able to do it for four years now. However, former Buckeyes Will Howard and Jack Sawyer are suddenly setting the record straight

Both Howard and Sawyer, newly drafted Pittsburgh Steelers players, joined Ben Roethlisberger on his podcast Footbahlin to talk all things about their National Championship and gearing up for the NFL. Rothislberger asked if it is ok lose to Michigan and win a National Championship, or rather, beat Michigan but not win a National Championship.

Sawyer was pretty quick with his answer, saying he would much rather win a National Championship and lose to Michigan.

"You're playing this game to win championships," Sawyer said on the podcast.

What it sounds like to Michigan fans is that Sawyer doesn't seem to care about losing to Michigan if it means they win championships, but should someone remind him that this is the first year that they have lost to Michigan and then actually went on to win the title.

The three seasons before this season, Ohio State lost to the Wolverines and then still didn't win a championship. While yes, everyone wants to win championships, if teams can't win them, beating a rival is a pretty good things to do to make teams feel like they just won a championships.

Also, if Ohio State was so okay with it all, then why get so mad when the Wolverines plant their flag on the Buckeyes' field? If it means you win a National Championship, then just let it go and move on, as you said you guys did.

Even if Ohio State thinks it doesn't matter in the end that Michigan beat the Buckeyes, Ohio State still has to remember that their last loss came against the Wolverines, and they still have yet to beat them in four years.
