It's the first day of college basketball season. The Michigan basketball team will begin its national title defense Monday night against Oakland.
The Wolverines are very familiar with Greg Kampe and Oakland. It should be an interesting early-season matchup as the Wolverines are expected to have Roddy Gayle in the starting lineup along with Elliot Cadeau, Trey McKenney, Moustapha Thiam and JP Estrella.
We will have more on this season-opening matchup before and after the game, but the offseason is over. The women's basketball team opens its season on Thursday against UCONN.
