After a come-from-behind win on Saturday, 4-3 over UCF, the Michigan Wolverines softball team now has the nation's longest neutral-field winning streak at 17 games.

Michigan softball has won the past two Big Ten tournament championships. The Wolverines fell short of advancing to the Super Regional last season, but took a step in that direction on Friday thanks to a two-run home run from Lauren Putz in the sixth inning.

That helped erase a two-run deficit with a three-run inning. Erin Hoehn earned the win in relief for the Michigan Wolverines after allowing zero runs on four hits. Lauren Derkowski, who started the game, re-entered with two runners on and two outs in the bottom of the seventh.

Derkowski struck out the final batter to come away with the save. Next up for the Wolverines is Texas, the host team. That will be played at 1 PM EST on ESPN+.

Michigan Wolverines add a 2025 basketball commitment

Michigan basketball is still waiting to see what Yaxel Lendeborg decides to do, but there are still open roster spots, and Dusty May filled one on Friday with the commitment of three-star 2025 wing Patrick Liburd.

The 6-foot-6 wing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is rated as a three-star recruit according to 247 Sports. He averaged over 16 points per game last season for Sagemont Prep in Florida, while shooting 49 percent from 3-point range on 59 attempts (via UMHoops).

Liburd was committed to Coastal Carolina a few weeks ago. Since then, he's had interest from Michigan basketball and Florida State, but the Wolverines won out.

Liburd is a solid addition at this point. You can't have every player on the roster ready to contribute next season. Liburd will be a redshirt, and if the Wolverines can stop him from transferring, it will give May a developmental wing who is a strong 3-point shooter.

It's the perfect addition for the backend of the roster.

Indiana clinches series over Michigan baseball

After a loss on Thursday in the opener of a three-game set against Indiana, the Michigan Wolverines baseball team saw the Hoosiers clinch the series win with an 8-1 triumph on Friday in Ann Arbor.

Michigan had just three hits in the game. David Lally Jr. allowed five runs on three hits over four innings to get hit with the loss. Michigan is now 32-21 and 15-14 in the Big Ten. They have qualified for the Big Ten tournament, but the losses to Indiana might have doomed any hopes of an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament.
