Nebraska football head coach Matt Rhule made some news recently when he announced that the Huskers wouldn't be holding a spring game this season. It made you wonder if Michigan football would follow suit.
However, the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes are holding spring games. Michigan football will play its on April 19th and with five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood set to make his debut in front of the home fans, it might be one the most anticipated spring game in Michigan football history.
The game will take place at 12 p.m. EST on the Big Ten Network. Practices will start on March 14th.

One year after setting the record for NFL combine invites, Michigan football will have eight more players heading to Indianapolis this year.
Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, Colston Loveland, Will Johnson, Josaiah Stewart, Myles Hinton, Donovan Edwards, and Kalel Mullings were each invited. All eight should be drafted too.
Edwards stock especially is on the rise after a solid Senior Bowl. He also averaged 4.5 yards per attempt this past season, despite one of the worst pass offenses in college football. Edwards will be a weapon in the league.
Yet, he's not one of the five Michigan Wolverines who have a shot at being a first-round pick. Johnson and Graham are guarantees. Loveland, Graham and Stewart should each be first-round picks too. Either way, the NFL draft will be a succesful night for the Michigan football program, again.
Also, Ohio State got 15 NFL combine invites -- three behind the 18 Michigan football got after winning the national championship with an undefeated record after the 2023 season.
Michigan Wolverines make top five for 4-star 2027 QB
In another bit of news from Thursday, Michigan football is now a finalist in the recruitment of four-star quarterback Trae Taylor. The 6-foot-3, 186-pound quarterback also has LSU, Illinois, Texas A&M, and Nebraska among his finalists.
Taylor has had effusive praise for new Michigan football offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey. The two had a great relationship when he was at North Carolina. Nebraska seems like a top contender as well, but it's not hard to see that the Wolverines are a real contender in this recruitment.
