Fans of the Michigan Wolverines have been clamoring for news about the NCAA Committee on Infractions hearing that took place last week.

The NCAA has been investigating allegations that Michigan football used advanced in-person scouting in violation of NCAA bylaws.

It's a minor violation, but others have been tacked on, mostly for not cooperating with NCAA investigators, but after nearly two years of this, the punishment should be handed out to Michigan in the next 30-90 days, according to NCAA President Charlie Baker.

It was interesting that Baker was not in attendance. Of course, he also said Michigan football won its national championship "fair and square."

Some Ohio State and Michigan State fans have frankly gotten so delusional about it that they believe Sherrone Moore won't coach another game for Michigan football. I wish I were joking, but this SpartanMag message board thread proves these thoughts actually exist.

Moore will likely be suspended a few games, maybe more than the two proposed by Michigan, but outside of that, rival fans will be sorely disappointed about the final punishments (because not that much wrongdoing actually happened).

Also, nothing has changed in terms of the expected punishment, which means no postseason bans or vacated wins. The NCAA has the power to do those things, but there are no signs that any of that is even being considered.

2026 recruit sets commitment date

Jordan Deck, a four-star safety who will take an official visit to Michigan football this weekend, has set a commitment date for July 1st.

The four-star safety is ranked No. 306 overall in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry rankings. He's got an official visit to Michigan, then another to Baylor on June 20th.

Oklahoma is the leader according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, but that seems outdated. The Wolverines have made a push, and it feels like they are the leader heading into the final stretch.

Deck visited Ann Arbor this spring. He also took official visits to Colorado and Penn State last month.

Danny Wolf mocked to an NBA finalist

Danny Wolf, the Michigan basketball standout, has been projected to land with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the latest NBA mock draft released by CBS Sports. That would have him just outside the NBA draft lottery at 15th overall.
