Mason Graham is arguably the greatest defensive tackle Michigan football has ever seen. The All-American and First-Team All-Big Ten selection in 2024 and a man that Jim Harbaugh once called a "gift from the football gods" has officially declared for the 2025 NFL draft.

No one should blame Graham. Hell, he could have been playing in the NFL this season. That's how dominant he is. Just turn on the tape of the Ohio State game. Graham didn't have a sack, but he did have five solo tackles and just abused the Buckeye offensive line, much like he did in 2023 and 2022.

Graham was vital in the national championship run too. In the win over Alabama, people remember the fourth down stop, but the key play was a tackle for loss on second down, by Graham, which put Alabama behind the sticks.

His quick interior pressure in the national championship game also led to Will Johnson's interception. During his three-year career with the Michigan Wolverines, Graham finished with 108 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and nine sacks.

His impact was much greater than that though and I would be shocked if he wasn't the first defensive tackle to come off the board in the 2025 NFL draft.

Michigan football getting a visit from No. 1 recruit in 2026

Jackson Cantwell, a 6-foot-7, 300-pound left tackle is taking a visit to see the Michigan Wolverines this month. It will come one day after a visit to Ohio State.

Out of Nixa, Missouri, Cantwell released a top 12 that includes the Wolverines. He's ranked No. 1 overall in the 2026 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Missouri and Nebraska are two others thought to be in the mix but keep an eye on Michigan football in this recruitment.

Michigan was also ranked No. 14 in the AP college basketball poll for the first time since 2022. The women's team is ranked No. 20 after a 60-54 win over Northwestern to open Big Ten play.
