Carter Meadows, one of the top pass rushers in the 2026 recruiting class, has scheduled an official visit to Michigan football for June 20th.

Meadows, a 6-foot-6, 215-pound EDGE, who is ranked as a five-star recruit according to On3 (No. 6 overall), as well as 98th overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, scheduled his official visit to the Michigan Wolverines earlier this week.

Out of Washington, D.C., Meadows has visited Michigan football three times previously. Penn State is another team in the mix, while Miami and Ohio State have also offered in recent months.

Michigan football is among the top contenders though. The Michigan Wolverines are also the only team to have an official visit scheduled, for now. Landing Meadows would be a huge addition to the 2026 class, which has just three commitments.

The Wolverines have hosted a ton of blue-chip recruits this spring and seem to be in favorable positions with many, but they need to start closing. Meadows is one of the guys that Michigan football should have a chance to close with.

Michigan football linebacker enters transfer portal

Former four-star linebacker Jason Hewlett announced his intention to enter the transfer portal when it opens later this week.

The signee from the 2023 class, played in nine games last season, but registered just two tackles. The former blue-chip recruit from Ohio was expected to compete for a spot on the two-deep this season and has three seasons of eligibility left.

5-star signee Trey McKenney stands out at Nike Hoop Summit

There are plenty of reasons to be excited about the 2025-26 Michigan basketball season, and one reason is five-star signee Trey McKenney.

The future Michigan Wolverines point guard scored 22 points and grabbed four rebounds in just 20 minutes for Team USA against Team World in the Nike Hoop Summit on Saturday night.

The 6-foot-4 combo guard ranked 17th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, and hit a key 3-pointer late. The Wolverines have been doing work in the transfer portal, adding Aday Mara on Friday, but McKenney could have a much bigger impact than some Michigan basketball fans are anticipating.

Michigan football spring highlights

Lastly, Michigan football released some highlights of quarterbacks Bryce Underwood and Jadyn Davis. True freshman Jamar Browder also pulled in a highlight-reel catch on Saturday.

The spring game is just one week away.
