The Michigan football injury report against Minnesota, at least the first report that came out on Wednesday had some surprises and raises some concerns.
Michigan, 3-1 after a heartbreaking loss to Iowa last Saturday, has to go through one more week before a bye week and a chance to rest up.
In the meantime, Michigan has a challenging road game against the Golden Gophers, who knocked off Washington 27-24 last week.
The Gophers will be a challenge. Michigan could also be without some of its best players. We knew John Henry Daley was going to be questionable. However, Andrew Marsh, who went over 100 yards last week, suddenly popped up on the injury report as questionable, which is essentially 50/50 that he will play.
Andrew Sprague is also questionable. He's been out the past two weeks. Blake Frazier did a great job moving over to the right side in his absence. Frazier was injured against Iowa too, but he's probable for the Minnesota game. That's the one piece of good news.

It's actually good news that Henry Daley is questionable. After he had a season-ending injury back in November, it's good to see he still has a chance to play this week. Dominic Nichols is also listed as questionable, which was his status last week, too.
Thoughts on Michigan football injury report
The idea of losing Marsh this week is a little scary. We all saw how difficult it was for Iowa to take away Marsh and JJ Buchanan. It was basically impossible. If the defense focused on one receiver or the other, Michigan just went the other way.
There are plenty of other talented pass catchers to turn to. Salesi Moa and Travis Johnson have flashed as freshman. Channing Goodwin has experience, too.
It would be nice if the Wolverines got Sprague back in the lineup. Link has done a solid job. Iowa has one of the better defensive lines in the Big Ten. Yet, Michigan was able to run for over 150 yards and only gave up one sack.
The offense has struggled to score points, though, failing to reach 20 in three of the first four games. Iowa and Oklahoma aren't an average defense. Beyond that, Michigan was a play away from winning both games thanks to the improved play of Bryce Underwood.
The arrow is pointing up. Hopefully, one of his top targets, Marsh, will be available on Saturday against Minnesota.
