Three days away from Michigan football's annual throw down with Michigan State, we have the first injury report for Saturday night's game, which is more positive for the Wolverines than the Spartans.

That doesn't mean that it's great for the Wolverines, though.

First things first, Andrew Sprague has been ruled out again. With only three weeks left in the regular season, it feels like he won't be back this season.

Jake Guarnera is probable. He's been battling injuries the past few weeks, so that seems to be trending in the right direction.

However, five Michigan football starters, Rod Moore, John Henry Daley, Hogan Hansen, Brady Norton and Dom Nichols are all questionable. That being said, Kyle Whittingham already said earlier this week that Henry Daley, Moore and Nichols were expected to play against the Spartans.

Jordan Young is a new name. The sophomore has been getting snaps in Moore's absence. Hogan Hansen has also started to come on at the tight end position, so hopefully, he can find a way to play.

Norton has been dealing with injuries all season. He hasn't played that well. It feels like Avery Gach should be starting at one of the guard spots. You wonder if Andrew Babalola will ever be ready to play. He hasn't been listed on the injury report the past few weeks but hasn't played.

Having Moore out there is essential. He talked the team about how important this game is, and it would be great to have him on the field. The chances of allowing an explosive play are much less when Moore is playing.

Michigan State quarterback is questionable

Alessio Milivojevic the preferred starting quarterback for the Spartans was listed as questionable. He's got seven touchdown passes and three interceptions. Getting him back would give the Spartans a better chance of pulling off the upset.

Michigan State linebacker Jordan Hall, defensive tackle Ben Roberts and running Jaziun Patterson are listed as out.

Milivojevic is a player to watch as the week progresses. Questionable on Wednesday night should give him a chance to play. That would make this game more challenging and also more interesting.

Either way, both teams are going to try and protect their quarterbacks. Michigan might have the better chance of doing that based on the injury report, but there is still a long way to go before the game. A lot can still change.
