Michigan football will get another chance to clinch a bowl game this week and also play spoiler against the 9-0 Indiana Hoosiers.

The Hoosiers were ranked No. 8 in the first edition of the 12-team College Football Playoff rankings. It's hard to believe they are ranked below one-loss Penn State. If the names were changed, the rankings would be different.

Which is what worries me about Indiana in this game. They will want to prove a point against Michigan, sort of like they did against Nebraska. Indiana is efficient, the run the ball well, and they were stellar on the defensive end.

The Hoosiers might not have a bunch of five-star lineman in the trenches, but they can play. They are tough and Curt Cignetti is the real deal. Here's a look at all the key info for Michigan football vs. Indiana including how to watch.

Michigan football vs. Indiana odds

The Wolverines are a 14.5-point underdog on the road against Indiana. The over/under is 49.5 points, while the moneyline is +500 for Michigan football and -700 for Indiana.

Michigan football vs. Indiana: Players to watch

Indiana: Kurtis Rourke

The former University of Ohio quarterback has been incredible for the Hoosiers this season completing 73.3 percent of his passes to go along with 19 touchdown passes and just three interceptions. Rourke throws for 275 yards per game and has five different receivers with at least 20 receptions for over 200 yards this season.

Rourke has a couple of touchdown runs too but as a team, Indiana is averaging 4.9 yards per attempt. This is the second-best scoring offense in all of college football (46.6 ppg) while the defense allows just 13.7 points per game.

The schedule hasn't been super difficult. Michigan football might be the best team Indiana will have faced so far, but the Hoosiers haven't been winning close games. Indiana has won its Big Ten games by 14, 17, 29, 49, 14, and 37. The Hoosiers have scored at least 31 points in each Big Ten contest.

Rourke is the driving force behind one of the best offenses in college football. The Michigan pass rush could neutralize him but he gets rid of the ball so quickly, it's hard to see that happening.

Michigan: The D-Line

The offense needs to figure out how to run the ball and get over 300 yards of total offense for just the second time since the USC game (Illinois).

The Wolverines offense has been so bad that Michigan football hasn't had more than 322 yards of total offense in Big Ten play. Just once this season (Arkansas State) has U-M totaled over 400 yards.

So I don't see that changing on Saturday. Michigan football might be able to generate 300 yards of total offense and around 20 points, The defensive line will need to dominate if Michigan football is going to have any chance of making it a game.

Michigan football vs. Indiana prediction

It would be great to see the Wolverines go on the road and pull an upset. But I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe they can do it. The secondary has been ravaged by injuries and Wink Martindale is going to have a tough day against Cignetti.

Michigan football can keep it competitive but the Wolverines won't have enough to cover the spread. The offense will struggle and the defense will wear down.

Prediction: Indiana 31, Michigan 16
