Michigan football has been extremely active on the recruiting trail in recent weeks and that's not going to change with Early Signing Day next Wednesday.

The Wolverines have surged up the rankings following the commitment of Bryce Underwood. Now, Michigan football is trying to fill out the class with blue-chippers at other positions.

One name that Michigan fans need to know in terms of flips is four-star defensive back Jordan Young. We haven't heard him talked about much since his commitment to the Clemson Tigers last month, but Michigan hasn't stopped pushing.

Young is 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, and is ranked No. 150 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Steve Wiltfong of On3.com and EJ Holland of the Wolverines have put in projections for Young to flip. That gives Michigan a 77 percent chance to win his commitment according to the On3 prediction machine.

There haven't been any crystal ball projections yet. However, there's some news on the crystal ball front as Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider and others have projected Michigan football to land three-star defensive lineman Travis Moten (6-foot-5, 250 pounds).

Out of Louisville, Moten was committed to Western Michigan at one point. Texas Tech and Virginia have been pushing for him since he re-opened his commitment. Lou Esposito is familiar with him and this season, as a senior, he's got 30 tackles for loss and 19.5 sacks.

Some Michigan fans and even rivals will point to the ranking, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it move up and sometimes, you have to trust your evaluations over the rankings. Esposito has shown a good eye for talent with multiple recruits from Western Michigan now in the NFL.

Plus, with the production of Moten, who feels like he could be a 3/5 technique -- similar to Jaylen Williams who just flipped to Wisconsin, this is a good player to bet on.

We'll see if commitments from both players come soon. Signing day is now just one week away.
