One of the big question marks about the 2025 Michigan football team is the wide receiver position. The Wolverines added two transfers during the winter cycle.
One of them is former Indiana wideout Donaven McCulley. The other is former UMass wide receiver Anthony Simpson. In 2023, the tandem combined for over 1,400 yards. McCulley had six games with at least 65 yards receiving in Big Ten play during the 2023 season for Indiana.
The problem is that both players were limited last season due to injury. They each shut things down and entered the portal. If each reverts to their form in 2023, it could be a huge win for Michigan football.
That doesn't mean the Wolverines should be satisfied with their talent though. Fred Moore and Semaj Morgan are two other notable veterans. Andrew Marsh is a highly-touted freshman who could make an impact too.

The 6-5 pass catcher caught 61 passes for 1,028 yards and 12 touchdowns last fall. https://t.co/kVbvUdYasS
A new name for Michigan football fans to know is Sincere Brown, a former Campbell wide receiver who is in the transfer portal and reported an offer from the Wolverines on X.
Brown is an interesting prospect. He didn't have any stats at wide receiver before last season and moved around from USF to Campbell, an FCS program. However, the 6-foot-6 wideout caught 61 passes for 1,028 yards last season and 12 touchdowns.
The competition wasn't what he would see at Michigan but he did have five receptions for 126 yards against Liberty. That was one of five games with at least 100 yards last season. He also had eight games with at least one reception of 20 yards or more.

Those are all things Michigan football needs. Brown could add an explosive weapon and it seems like there is some untapped potential. Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Wake Forest are the other offers at this point but there will surely be others.
