Every fan has favorites. Whether it's the NFL draft or the transfer portal, everyone has certain guys they want their team to get. When it comes to Michigan football and the transfer portal, one of those guys for me is former USC wideout Duce Robinson.

Dating back to his high school days, I have been a huge fan of Robinson. He's an incredible athlete, one that's good enough to play professionally in football or baseball.

But for the past two seasons, he's played for USC. Robinson was recruited as a tight end but has played wide receiver for the Trojans. He's got 39 career receptions for 747 tards and seven touchdowns. That's over 19 yards per reception. Robinson also had one of his best games in November with four receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown in a win over Nebraska.

Michigan football could use a big wide receiver. The Wolverines haven't replaced Cornelius Johnson who graduated after the 2023 season. Like Johnson, Robinson is a big dude who can make explosive plays but also makes the tough plays over the middle of the field.

However, I didn't think it was realistic. But according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider, the Wolverines are in touch with Robinson and a visit is possible. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound receiver has also been interested in Arizona State, North Carolina, and Florida State.

Even with the addition of Donaven McCulley from Indiana, the Wolverines could use a second receiver and Robinson would be a great fit. You add those two to holdovers Semaj Morgan and Fred Moore, plus freshman Andrew Marsh and Jacob Washington who each ranked in the top 200 overall, plus Channing Goodwin and I'Marion Stewart, that's not a bad receiver room.

Robinson has two years of eligibility remaining.
