Here is the report card from the 21-16 win by Michigan football over Purdue.

Offense: F

Simply put, this was the worst game of Bryce Underwood's young career. He needs a lot of work moving forward. There were some dropped passes, but what was more concerning this week were a lot of missed passes to receivers. As usual, the running game carried Michigan. Jordan Marshall was the MVP.

Defense: D

There were too many missed tackles once again. The defense couldn’t get off the field and allowed a handful of long drives. They did have a good stop on fourth down to start the fourth quarter. I know there are injuries, but next man up. After Michigan fooball went up 21-10, there was little resistance, and Purdue made it a game on their next possession.

Special Teams: F

There was a blocked punt, Semaj Morgan running backwards yet again, and Marsh fumbled a kickoff.  The special teams have been anything but special all year.

Coaching: C

A lot has been said about Sherrone Moore’s coaching. It’s not him or Chip Lindsey in this game. They weren’t the ones missing wide open receivers or fumbling the ball or throwing interceptions. This one is on Underwood. Michigan football once again left a lot of points off the board. This might have been a blowout against even a middle-of-the-road team. This all needs to be addressed quickly, fast, and in a hurry.  It's a great time for a bye week. First thing on the agenda is to get as many players healthy as possible. After that, tackling, passing, and catching all need to be the focus going into November 15th against Northwestern at Wrigley Field.

 Overall Grade: D
