Gameday recipe: Steak flatbread

Ingredients: flatbread, skirt steak, red onion, arugula, garlic spread, Calabrian chile, cheese, olive oil. We like to get all our ingredients from Trader Joe's when making flatbreads.

Steak flatbread is a great way to still get your steak craving satisfied but do it with a little twist. First, you will want to grill your skirt steak. Season the steak however you would like but I prefer just to use salt and pepper. Skirt steak is so flavorful that the meat will talk even without much seasoning. Heat your grill to 400-450 degrees and grill it 4-5 minutes each side. Let it rest for about 20 minutes afterwards.

To make it easy, you can purchase a flatbread at the grocery store. Take garlic spread and mix it with Calabrian chile and put a base on the flatbread. The Calabrian chile will add a little spice to it, and it is delicious. Next, add your cheese to the flatbread. We have been using a truffle brie cheese lately but you can use any cheese you would like.

Once the cheese is on the flatbread, put it in the oven at 400 degrees until the cheese is melted. Now, you are ready to assemble your flatbread. Place your steak, red onion, arugula and any other toppings you would like on top. We like to add on red pepper flakes, honey, flakey salt, and shaved parmesan on top. As long as you have your steak, red onion, and arugula, the rest is up to you. Slice your flatbread into squares and you are ready to eat! A great beer to pair this with is Landshark lager from Margaritaville Brewing with an ABV of 4.6%.

Michigan football prop bet: Donovan Edwards over 40 rushing yards at +110

Donovan rushed for 52 yards on ten carries vs Oregon. He continues to look better and better as the year goes on. He was one broken tackle away from taking one to the house in the first quarter last week and I will continue to believe in Dono until his last snap for Michigan football.

The big play is in him just waiting to come out and if anyone is going to rally the team this week to pull the upset, it's him. I think he is going to get more reps at RB1 and + money at over 40 yards is great value. A big game for Donovan would be huge if the Wolverines are going to pull the upset. Go Blue!
