Michigan Football: 3 things we need to see vs. Oregon

The Wolverines will try and figure out the high octane offense of Oregon and become bowl eligible in the process.

Michigan football has a rare chance in front of them on Saturday with No. 1 Oregon visiting. Sherrone Moore can secure a landmark win that will ease the anxiety of those who are skeptical about his coaching abilities. A loss will only make the rabid fanbase reach a new boiling point with November 30th looming.

Here's three things I want to see against the number one team in the nation.

1. Control the time of possession

Last week Michigan State thoroughly dominated the time of possession with the Wolverines. They handled it for 15 more minutes then the maize and blue. This week Michigan football has to reverse the roles against a national championship favorite.

With no suspension for Kalel Mullings, he, Alex Orji and Donovan Edwards have to be in the gameplan for heavy workloads or Tommy Doman will be busy all afternoon. Last week Mullings and Edwards combined for a season low in yardage and they still won. Oregon is nowhere near as pitiful as Michigan State is.

Studying how Boise State ran it with Ashton Jeanty should be able to help Michigan prep, even though they came up short. The offensive line will have to play their best game of the year if they wish to contend and open up running lanes. Oregon can score in seconds and their longest drive was four minutes a week ago.
