After seven weeks of football who would have guessed that Michigan football and Michigan State would have identical records and be headed in opposite directions? The maize and blue have a quarterback crisis, while Aidan Chiles is solidifying the role for the Spartans as they enter hate week. The team that turns the ball over the least and runs it at a higher rate should come out the victor in the latest chapter of this I-96 tug-of-war.

Here's three things I want to see happen on Saturday primetime in the Big House.

1. A return to the 2023 Penn State running game

Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore is leaning towards starting Jack Tuttle again on Saturday night. He'll make the ultimate decision depending upon who practices the best this week. In the meantime, Michigan's offense should look to its past success to get back to its winning ways.

That would be running the ball with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind. Lineup in different formations and let Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards loose. I'm talking about how they ran it last year in Happy Valley. 30 plus carries for Mullings and 20 plus for Edwards. Put as many guys on the line of scrimmage as possible and block, block, block.

Let Michigan State stack the box and use Colston Loveland on delayed play action drag routes to see if they bite. Of course the offensive line will have to do their part to and give Tuttle time to develop the play. They just gave up five sacks to an Illinois defense who surrendered to the Boilermakers a week prior.
