1. Colston Loveland earned the right to mock the Spartans with a postgame rant
The junior tight end will likely wrap up his career undefeated against the Spartans. He grabbed a game high six catches, to go along with the four touchdowns that he has scored in the last two versus the green and white. In fact Loveland, along with Luke Schoonmaker and A.J. Barner, were all the leading receivers in the past three victories over Sparty.
Afterward, he went full Mike Hart and Chase Winovich and taunted the Spartans. He referred to them as "lil bro" and basically said if they want to throw down, then Michigan football is ready and willing to oblige. That's become the standard when you are a difference maker in this yearly slugfest and have earned the privilege of running your mouth after the victory.
Offensively Michigan was outgained in both aspects, but they were more acclimated to how the game flow was going. No penalties and no turnovers. The defense was accountable for Aidan Chiles and Nick Marsh, but not for Nate Carter. He gashed Michigan's run defense, specifically on third and longs.
