2. Michigan's offense went to conservative
After going up 16-0, Michigan's offense went pedestrian. They couldn't pass it and made just enough plays in the run game to hold on for the win. We've seen it before this season and still won. Regardless of what people think or want, winning is all that matters, especially during the season we just witnessed.
An argument can be made that this is a factual statement, but what else could the Wolverines do that was rational? Sherrone Moore said Alex Orji practiced well enough during the week leading up to the game, but it sure didn't look like it. Michigan football had no choice but to stay conservative, so that makes this an overreaction, even if you disagree with it.
Michigan finishes at 8-5.

Bad by program standards. And yet:
-Beat Minnesota for the Brown Jug.
-Beat MSU for Paul Bunyan.
-Beat NU for the Jewett trophy.
-Beat #2 OSU in historic upset.
-Beat #11 Bama in a bow.
Not sure any Michigan team got more bang for the buck.
Jadyn Davis could have come in and played, but once and for all, the coaches just don't trust him. The sad thing is that Davis Warren was playing brilliantly before he got injured. Credit goes to the staff for finding a way to win without him taking snaps. They all earned pay raises in the last month of the season with those two unlikely wins.
