2. Shamari Earls (CB)

Shamari Earls is a future superstar. There is no doubt in my mind. He bears a striking resemblance to Will Johnson as a recruit. And he's going to be tasked with taking over Johnson's role over the next few years. Earls, who is an early enrollee, will have an opportunity to start right away, and given Michigan's lack of depth at cornerback, I wouldn't be shocked if he does start immediately.

That would actually put him ahead of Will Johnson's schedule, as Johnson didn't become a full-time starter until late in his freshman season. Earls was unfortunately injured his entire senior season, but he is definitely a five-star caliber recruit that fans should be excited about.

Similar to Underwood, it feels more like "when" rather than "if" he'll be a starter in 2025. He's just that talented that he's going to be on the field. It's very difficult to be successful as a true freshman cornerback, but Earls has the tools to be just that. I expect him to be a major contributor in 2025.
