The Michigan Wolverines have been through it the past couple of weeks when it comes to football. At least the basketball program is doing well to help offset the emotions football has put them through. However, the Michigan faithful was dealt a big blow today as not only did top candidate Kenny Dillingham receive a new contract that locked him in with Arizona State, but he was never even offered the job.

In his press conference after the announcement of his new contract, Dillingham spilled the secret that athletic director Warde Manuel never even offered him the job. He feels like it is a clear dream position with so many resources, but he could never accept it if he were never offered it.

This news has fans absolutely irate with Manuel and the Michigan athletic department, as they have now missed out on Dillingham and most likely Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer as well. At this point, it really is a question as to who Michigan will go for, but fans know something they do want.

They want Warde Manuel fired!

Michigan fans don't hold back their feelings on Warde Manuel

It really is a wonder how Michigan has allowed Manuel to keep his job. He was around for the whole cheating scandal and made the decision to hire Sherrone Moore.

That is not a great resume to have as an athletic director.

Well, get ready for the punchline because it looks like Manuel will still have his job come January, and Michigan probably still won't have a head coach.

At this point, there could not be more fingers pointed at Manuel with this news coming out today.

At this point, it feels like Manuel doesn't do anything because Michigan still doesn't have a head coach, and it has been a week and a half, and apparently, no offers have even been made.

Say it louder for the people in the back!

Fans have now started a petition to have Manuel fired. If this doesn't show how unhappy the Michigan faithful is, then I don't know what does.
