3. Michigan's eighth win didn't happen until February of last season
It only took Dusty May nine games to reach the eight win plateau that Juwan Howard accomplished in his final year in Ann Arbor. May has to be in serious consideration for coach of the year only a month into the season. His transfers are leading the way back to national prominence. I guess you can say that he is way ahead of schedule.
Tre Donaldson redeemed himself after going scoreless in the Wisconsin win. He was 60% from the floor and was the only Wolverine with a pair of triples.
Vlad Goldin and Danny Wolf continue to be difficult to defend. Both bigs almost shot 75% each and they both managed to record a double-double. 25 of the 45 rebounds came from the duo. There may not be a set of seven-footers playing any better then these two in the country right now.
The pick-and-roll, with Goldin and Wolf, that worked so consistently against Wisconsin, wasn't as much of a factor for Iowa's defense. That doesn't mean that coach May will stop suddenly using it. He knows he has something very special that we don't see very often anymore.
