Before Michigan kicked off against Penn State around 3:45 p.m., Wolverines fans might have been keeping an eye on who is coming to Ann Arbor next week: the Indiana Hoosiers. With that, Michigan fans were probably also hate watching Ohio State, hoping for a loss. If that is the case, you might have seen the Buckeyes quarterback take a vicious hit in the fourth quarter that sent him to the locker room.
Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin came out of the locker room in a sling on his right arm and never returned to the game, putting the offense in the hands of backup QB Luke Fahey. The Buckeyes had a chance to put the game away, but Fahey looked uncomfortable, and Ohio State went three-and-out, giving the ball back to the Hoosiers. In the end, Ohio State was able to pull off a thrilling win, but countless eyes are now on Sayin's status moving forward.

In the end, wide receiver Nick Marsh couldn't figure out where he was on the sideline and had the game-winning touchdown in his hands, but his feet were out of bounds on the wide-open catch. While the Buckeyes might have won this game, there indeed is a lot of worry about Sayin's injury.
When asked about Sayin after the game, head coach Ryan Day said he didn't have an update on his stud QB. With that, things could not be more unclear, with everyone guessing on how much time he'll miss.
Julian Sayin's injury update could make-or-break the rest of Ohio State's season
Michigan fans never want to see anything good happen to Ohio State, but you never want to see anyone get injured either. The injury to Sayin isn't good for the person, but in terms of it hurting Ohio State's offense, that's a different story.
Seeing Sayin in a sling doesn't look like a good sign when it comes to an injury, but he was still in his pads. Granted, Sayin was probably eager to get back to his team, whether he was cleared to play or not, which could be the reason he wasn't in street clothes coming out of the locker room.
Ohio State fans won't be the only ones keeping an eye out for an update on Sayin, as this injury is key for the Buckeyes, especially with how bad Fahey looked when he stepped in for the injured QB. Granted, Fahey had to step in at a crucial time, in the biggest game of the season for Ohio State, and he could look better with a week of practice under his belt, but if Sayin is out for an extended period of time, or even the rest of the season, it would be devastating for the Buckeyes.
Sayin's absence could give Michigan more hope of winning their big rival game at the end of the season against Ohio State, especially with the Wolverine defense dominating this season. This will be something to keep a close eye on moving forward, no doubt.
Ryan Day gives an update on Julian Sayin's injury
After Ohio State's win over the Buckeyes, of course, one of the first questions head coach Ryan Day was asked was about Sayin's injury. Day didn't give a concrete timeline, but did say that his quarterback would miss several weeks.
Ryan Day said Julian Sayin is to be out for “several weeks.”

That could mean the rest of the regular season; that could mean he could return before the regular season is over - who knows. Ohio State will be without their Heisman candidate quarterback for a while, which could shake things up in the Big Ten.
