Rivalry week is here, and there is truly no bigger game than the one between Michigan and Ohio State, especially when a trip to the College Football Playoff is on the line. Whether a spot for the playoff was on the line or not, both teams know this is the biggest game of the season, and the Michigan Wolverines are ready for it.
Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has decided to add fuel to the fire with his latest statement about the Wolverines. Apparently, the star wide receiver, who was once being recruited by Michigan, stated he has hated the Wolverines since high school.
Some things don't fully add up, as he was being recruited by the Wolverines, and he is from Florida, so no real ties to the Wolverines there.
I been hated them since High School

Jeremiah Smith has to be healthy enough to play against Michigan
There is still a question as to whether Jeremiah Smith will be ready to play against Michigan. Smith missed Ohio State's game against Rutgers and was on a snap count against UCLA with a lower-body injury. Both Smith and Carnell Tate have been dealing with injuries that have put their status against Michigan in jeopardy.
So, for Smith to be talking a big game about beating Michigan this season when he may not even be ready to go for the game. The Buckeyes are already a lock for the College Football Playoff, so they aren't going to put Smith's ability to play in those games at risk.
This is going to be a huge game, especially with Michigan having a real chance to snag a College Football Playoff spot with a huge upset win over the Buckeyes. The Wolverines came in ranked No. 15 in the latest CFP rankings, so the committee could feel they have a couple of strong enough wins this season to give them a shot, especially if other chaos ensues during a heated rivalry week.
