There was hope that maybe one of Michigan's best defenders would be back today, but it seems like it is unlikely. Rob Moore has been recovering from multiple procedures done on his knee, and after missing the entire 2024 season, he has yet to play since the Wolverines' National Championship game against Washington.
Moore was listed as questionable today, according to Sherrone Moore, but he is now doubtful to play today against No. 18 Oklahoma as he continues to recover from his injury. The good news is that Moore has been cleared to practice, but it is uncertain when he will get the go-ahead to play in a game for the Wolverines again.

Even though Moore has yet to hit the field in a game this season, he was still voted a captain for the team, so of course, he will be with his guys on the field in one way.
Moore has said that ultimately, even when he gets the all-good for playing in a game, the choice is ultimately up to him. He has stated he does not want to go until he is fully confident in his leg, and while he can run and jump without issues, he still isn't quite there yet.
With Moore most likely not playing today, unless something serious changes, TJ Metcalf and Brandyn Hillman will take the snaps in his place. The defense will be key in their matchup against Oklahoma today as Sooners quarterback John Mateer is going to be a tough guy to face.
Mateer threw for 392 yards and three touchdowns in the Sooners' season opener, so Michigan will have to be ready for anything when it comes to playing against Oklahoma today.
