Even though the spring football transfer portal is closed, player who have yet to find a new home, or return to their school, are still able to shop around and talk with prospects. However, the commits are beginning to dwindle a bit, but one former Michigan player has found his new home, or should I say circus.

Michigan pass-rusher Kechaun Bennett is staying in the Big Ten, but is heading West and trading in his maize and blue for lighter shades. Bennett has committed to playing for the UCLA Bruins next season, and he joins quite a shower of transfer portal players for the Bruins.

Kechaun Bennett joins an interesting trasnfer portal class at UCLA

The transfer portal continues to prove that college football players have all the control right now, but sometimes karma comes back in the end. Former Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava was asking for $4 million in NIL money from the Volunteers, and when they refused to pay it, Tennessee chose to move on from the veteran quarterback.

Iamaleava made quick work in the transfer portal and also chose the UCLA Bruins, and days after his announcement, his brother Madden Iamaleava also announced his transfer to UCLA from Arkansas. Bennett is now joining the trasnfer circus that is UCLA right now.

Bennett only played two seasons with Michigan before deciding to transfer to the Bruins. The 6-foot-4 edge rusher was a four-time letter winner for the Wolverines but did not see the field all that much. Bennett only had a total of seven tackles in two seasons, six of them solo tackles.

Now Bennett will join a UCLA defense that really came into form later in the season and gave teams problems on the offensive side of the ball.
