For those Michigan antagonists wishing for Lincoln Riley or Steve Sarkisian to replace Jason Beck at Michigan, keep dreaming.

An NFL name could be in the mix if Michigan takes a page out of Ohio State's playbook. Someone like Brian Daboll or Nick Sirianni could be out of a job, but below are five names that make some sense to be contacted if Michigan decides to release Jason Beck of his services.

5 hotboard coaches to consider as Michigan's next offensive coordinator

Aaron Roderick-BYU Offensive Coordinator

Whittingham has had Roderick on his staff before at Utah, and since going to Provo, BYU has endured only one losing season there. BYU's offense is averaging 33 points a game, which is 13 more than Michigan football is putting up.

Dean Kennedy-UCLA Offensive Coordinator

Assuming he doesn't take a head coaching job somewhere, Kennedy has worked in the SEC and with Bob Chesney. UCLA's rushing attack leads the Big Ten and is running for 233 yards per clip. Michigan is rushing for 100 yards less per outing. Chesney has a defensive background, which means Kennedy is in charge of the offensive play calling. He's turned Semaj Morgan into the Bruins' leading receiver.

Chandler Whitmer-Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterbacks Coach

A rising name in the coaching circles who helped develop Fernando Mendoza. Troy Bowles could ask his dad for a huge favor by poaching Whitmer to return to the Big Ten and call plays for the Wolverines. Plus, he's only 35 years old with a ton of high-level college and NFL experience.

Jedd Fisch-Washington Head Coach

Washington could move on from Fisch, making him a hot name as a quarterback guru. Hiring a coach with previous head coaching experience is always a good thing, and Fisch would probably be open to returning to Michigan football, depending on what other offers are on the table. The only way he becomes available, though, is if Washington completely collapses.

Jay Harbaugh-Seattle Seahawks Special Teams Coordinator

Perhaps Michigan can go back to a blast from the past that has never been an offensive coordinator in his career. Harbaugh can be the coach in waiting if things go correctly and build the second Harbaugh Michigan empire.
