Apparently the celebration will be short for Dusty May with his sights already set on next season.

All season long, Michigan head coach Dusty May has decided not to speak about what it would feel like if Michigan won it all or the dominance this team showed all season long. Now, the Wolverines have finally won it all, and May is already thinking about next season.

During an on-court interview after the championship win, May was asked about how much this meant to him and his players, and his answer proves why Michigan has a chance to win it all again next season.

"It's not common for the guys to go through the journey we did," May said. "Now we turn the page to Detroit."

Dusty May didn't even let the confetti settle before thinking about next season

For those that don't know, Detroit is where the Final Four and National Championship will be played, and clearly May has known that for a while. Now, this doesn't mean that May isn't going to enjoy this win, but he clearly has the mindset of a winning coach to already be thinking about next season.

This Michigan team went through so much this season, with many not believing they could do it, being at the top, and then being knocked out by Duke, and all the way to even losing the Big Ten Championship. That was the last loss Michigan would suffer, though, as the Wolverines remained the final team standing in March Madness.

Now, as May clearly stated, his attention will go towards building the team for next season, a team that he and other Michigan fans hope will hoist the trophy again. With the Final Four being in Detroit next season, Michigan could have a chance to play in its own backyard and practically have a home game.

May certainly deserved to enjoy this win for a little bit, but seeing how he is already looking forward to next season, it could mean Michigan could be in this position many times in the coming years.
